Here are the final presentation materials for the EPIC-funded research project, “Comprehensive Open Source Development of Next Generation Wildfire Models for Grid Resiliency” (EPC-18-026). The project focused on developing next-generation, open-source wildfire risk forecasting models and tools to support both near-term grid operations and long-term utility planning decisions. The virtual final meeting highlighted key project outcomes, including advances in wildfire risk modeling, fire weather forecasting, fuels and vegetation analysis, and decision-support tools designed to improve grid resiliency and wildfire mitigation planning.
